The Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee decided, on Saturday, to address the Presidency of Parliament to include three laws on the agenda of the upcoming sessions.
The Media Department of the House of Representatives stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the Security and Defense Committee held a meeting headed by Representative Nayef Al-Shammari, a member of the committee, and the presence of a number of its members, on Saturday, to discuss the issues on its agenda."
She added, "During the meeting, draft laws (the National Security Agency, the Intelligence Agency, and information crimes) were discussed."
According to the statement, the committee decided to address the Presidency of the Council in order to include a draft law (information crimes) and a draft law (the intelligence apparatus) on the agenda of the upcoming Parliament sessions as soon as possible.
The committee discussed the security apparatus draft law, which was read within the committee.
The committee decided to submit the National Security Agency draft law to the Speaker and his two deputies for the purpose of including it in the upcoming sessions of the Council for a first reading.
At the same time, the committee recommended that laws be discussed with the Parliamentary Legal Committee to come up with a final formula.
On a related note, the committee decided to host the Supreme National Authority for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Affairs at a later time to be determined by the committee. Ended 29 / h
