    Today, Sunday, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, revealed recommendations that will be submitted to the Council of Ministers that will provide hundreds of thousands of job opportunities.
    The Minister of Labor, Ahmed Al-Asadi, said, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a committee was formed by a decision of the Council of Ministers, and it is hoped during the next week that it will present its recommendations to the Council of Ministers in order to issue decisions regarding the organization of foreign labor, which will help provide hundreds of thousands of workers.” job opportunities for the unemployed.
    He explained, “The recommendations include granting a period of time to settle the conditions of foreign workers who work illegally in Iraq, as well as obliging employers to apply the paragraph of the Labor Law, which relates to hiring an Iraqi for every working foreign worker.” in institutions, companies, malls, restaurants, and shops.”
    And the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, announced, earlier, the outcomes of the meeting of the Committee for Organizing Foreign Employment. 
    He said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "it was agreed not to grant a visa or entry permit to expatriate workers into the country except after obtaining a permit or work permit from the Ministry of Labor and then completing the procedures of the Ministry of Interior and the Residence Department.”
    He added, “The meeting of the committee, which was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior, touched on the importance of this file and gave it great importance, and it was agreed to continue the meetings of the committee during the coming days," pointing out that "the next period will include a series of meetings with advanced staff in the ministries of labor, interior, foreign affairs, and immigration, and they will discuss several decisions to reach real results and solutions to organize the file of Expatriate foreign workers to the country.
