    In a statement received by (Iraqi Media News Agency / INA), Rasool said that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Prime Minister Muhammad Shayaa Al-Sudani, directed the relevant security services in the Ministry of Interior to follow up the Reports and information received, according to which shops were opened in the capital, Baghdad, bearing the name of commercial brands. worldwide without legal licences.
    He added that, in light of the directives, the competent authorities moved and verified the existence of a number of shops and economic activities operating under fake trademarks, and legal measures were taken in this regard.
    And he continued, that the concerned government agencies, in applying commercial and intellectual property rights and trademark rights, call upon all local investors to obtain the original approvals from the owners of international marks and brands, and stress that infringement of these rights is a violation of the law and a crime that harms the business environment and foreign investments. It harms Iraq's reputation and its ability to attract major companies and institutions with internationally registered trademarks.
