The Director General of the General Cement Company, Hussein Mohsen Obaid, announced, on Monday, that the highest quantity of cement supplies and sales value had been achieved in December of last year.
Obaid said in a statement received by Al-Maaloumah, that "sales amounted to about (173) thousand tons, at a value of more than (15) billion dinars," adding that "the achievement was achieved after completing the conversion of the burning system from black oil to gas in the Kufa Cement Factory, where it managed The factory cadres accomplished what was planned during the past year by converting the kiln of the first and second lines into a dry gas burning system, in addition to completing the conversion of the third line in the same year, which contributed to reducing the costs of cement production.
He pointed out that "the gas burning system is economically feasible because it is environmentally friendly and works to reduce the costs of cement production, in addition to maintaining the quality and quality of the produced cement."
The general manager pointed out that "the current year 2023 will witness a boom in production after completing the plans drawn for the company by completing the dry gas system project in all the company's factories." Ended/25 h
