Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi affirmed, on Sunday, that the parliament supports the Central Bank of Iraq in its steps to address the high exchange rate of the dollar, while the governor of the central bank indicated that the problem of the dollar is temporary.
Al-Halbousi's office stated in a statement, which Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the latter received the Governor of the Central Bank, Mustafa Ghaleb Makhaif, in the presence of the heads and deputy heads of the Parliamentary Finance and Economic Committees, and listened to a detailed explanation of the procedures adopted by the Central Bank in organizing the economic sector related to currency circulation." foreign trade, whether cash sales or foreign trade financing.
