    Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani announced, on Wednesday, that his government intends to establish a fund for the reconstruction of the Nineveh Plain and Sinjar districts, which were destroyed as a result of the military operations that took place to expel ISIS.
    The extremist organization had invaded areas and cities estimated at a third of Iraq's area in mid-2014, before it was retaken from it in military operations waged by the security forces supported by the international coalition led by the United States of America, which lasted for three years.



    A statement issued by the media office of Al-Sudani today stated that the latter received, before noon, the Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch, His Beatitude Mar Ignatius Youssef III Younan, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Evan Faeq, and Representative Duraid Jamil Yashua.
    At the beginning of the meeting, the delegation reviewed the reality of Christians in Iraq, and ways to sponsor the various Iraqi components, according to the statement.
    Al-Sudani said during the meeting that Iraq embraces sects and is proud of its ethnic diversity and authentic components that reflect our civilizational depth.
    He explained that the government intends to establish a fund for the reconstruction of the Nineveh Plains and Sinjar regions.
    For his part, the Syriac Catholic Patriarch of Antioch thanked the Prime Minister for the world, and praised the government's measures during the 100 days that reflected the face of the new Iraq, specifically in the issue of owning the lands of the Yazidis and some Christians, and the fraternal initiative regarding the afflicted in Syria, stressing the support of the education sector to spread love, brotherhood and peace. social.
