The governor of the Central Bank, Ali Al-Alaq, responded, on Monday, to news about the bank’s intention to “not allow” the dollar to be sold for cash in the coming days.

A member of the Parliamentary Economic Committee, Soran Omar, said in a post followed by “NAS” (February 27, 2023), that “one of the reasons for the rise in the value of the dollar today is the spread of rumors that the Central Bank will not allow the dollar to be sold for cash in the coming days.”
And Omar quoted the governor of the Central Bank as saying: "This news is far from the truth, and we call not to believe the news that promotes the bank except through its official website.
