The Industry Reveals Through “Earth News” The Number Of Iraqi Factories And The Government Plan Towards Them

Earth News/ Today, Tuesday, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Industry, Duha al-Jubouri, revealed the number of working and suspended Iraqi factories.
Al-Jubouri told Earth News, "The total number of laboratories affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals is 295, of which 191 are operating, while the number of stopped laboratories is 104."
And she added, "The ministry's current plan is to go to partnership with the private sector in order to advance these stalled factories, which are the most prominent current opportunities for these strategic projects, such as hydrogen fertilizers, phosphate fertilizers, and sulfur, and this current trend under the current government is towards strategic industries."
And she continued, “There are a number of Arab and foreign companies that have applied to enter into a partnership in these industries for the purpose of bringing in new production lines, because the old lines have exceeded their design life and have become economically and technically useless, so the suspended factories were allocated towards partnership with the private sector.”
