The Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee confirmed today, Wednesday, the decrease in smuggling of crude oil and derivatives.
Committee member MP Ali Saadoun Al-Lami said to the official agency, followed by Mawazine News, that “the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee recorded, after its visit to Basra Governorate, meeting with oil companies and reviewing licenses, refineries and other companies, it recorded a decrease in smuggling operations, especially crude oil and derivatives.” Oil," pointing out that "there are smuggling operations in other regions, and they must be pursued by the state and control of the outlets through which smuggling operations take place."
With regard to the price of a barrel of oil calculated in the budget, he indicated that calculating the price of a barrel at 70 dollars is appropriate, especially since oil prices today are more than that.
