    Economy News - Baghdad
Today, Sunday, economic expert Abdel Hassan Al-Ziyadi described the dry canal project as equivalent to oil wealth.
Al-Ziyadi said, "The dry canal should have been established decades ago because it connects east and west through Iraq," adding that "its advantages are very many and start from Al-Faw to Turkey and from there to Europe, as Iraq will become a source for the movement of energy and goods to the world."
And he continued, "The imports of the dry channel will be greater or parallel to the imports of oil in the event that the port of Faw is completed and linked to the dry channel, with no less than 100 billion dollars," noting that it "will shorten the time in transportation, in addition to revitalizing tourism in Iraq."
