Today, Wednesday, the Norwegian oil company DNO announced the start of closing the oil wells in which it operates in the Kurdistan region.
The Norwegian company said, in a statement received by (Baghdad Today), that "four days after stopping oil exports, we had to start closing the oil wells."
The company stated that it "was continuing to extract oil, but its limited storage capacity forced it to make a decision."
DNO was producing 107,000 barrels of oil per day, before the decision of the International Court in Paris to stop oil exports.
And at a time before Iraq won an international arbitration case against Turkey, Baghdad subsequently stopped crude oil exports from the Kurdistan region to Ankara.
