[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Rusafa Criminal Court sentenced to life in prison a defendant for committing an abduction and demanding for ransom.The Media Center of the judicial authority reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday ”The defendant, in cooperation with other defendants, stopped the taxi which the kidnapped person and his mother were traveling on, and they kidnapped him.””The kidnapers released the victim after negotiation with his family for a ransom,” the statement added.”The Court, based on the clear confessions of the convicted, decided to sentence the detainee in accordance with the article 4 of Anti-Terrorism law of 2005,” the statement concluded. \
