The Ministry of Commerce launched the fifth batch of food basket items, with the imminent opening of new marketing outlets to sell foodstuffs at discounted and competitive prices
Minister Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairy confirmed, in a statement, that the ministry succeeded in securing the storage of the items of the food basket and wheat and the mechanisms for its processing for those covered by the supply system as well as for those covered by the protection network, and it also made important strides in the project of automating the ration card, the services it provides, and the completion rates in the governorates.
He added that the ministry has plans and programs in several directions to improve the performance of the services it provides, with activating the work of committees, drawing commercial policy, supporting the private sector and holding exhibitions, in implementation of the government program.
Al-Ghurairy revealed the launch of the fifth portion of the items of the food basket and the fourth portion of flour, with the imminent opening of new marketing outlets in a number of the foodstuffs company's branches in the country's governorates to sell foodstuffs at reduced and competitive prices.
He pointed out that the ministry is also continuing to automate the work of departments for digital transformation with all work details to reduce effort, reduce routine and simplify procedures in line with the government's directives in this aspect.
