Parliamentary services: 50% of the emergency security funds were spent on projects

The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee stated that the most important draft laws that will start seeking approval are roads and bridges, followed by many laws, including those related to overrun residential complexes.
A member of the committee, Sarwa Muhammad Rashid, explained in an interview with “Al-Sabah” that “the most important laws that the Services and Reconstruction Committee is working on are the Roads and Bridges Law and the Residential Land Ownership Law,” adding that “the law is societally important because of the traffic jams in the streets in addition to the bad roads.” Foreign affairs between the provinces, so the committee is working on developing and writing this law immediately after the legislative recess, which must pass during this year.
Rashid added, "The committee began supervising the spending of the allocations of the Emergency Food Security Law and the projects related to the law, as the committee hosted all the governors and stakeholders in the Ministry of Construction and Housing to see all the projects included in the Emergency Food Security Law."
She pointed out that "the members of the committee were distributed between subcommittees and other main ones to supervise these projects, 50% of which were referred under the title of emergency food security to contractors in the governorates, as the committee follows up and monitors the work of the governorates."
