    The latest Jordanian census released, on Tuesday, showed that Iraq is the largest importer of Omani industry during the first half of the current year 2023. 
    A report by the Amman-Jordanian Chamber of Industry, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, stated that "the chamber's exports during the 6 months of the current year 2023 amounted to 679 million Jordanian dinars, compared to 424 million dinars for the same period in 2022."
    He added that "the exports of the Jordanian industry's products, which are spread in most regions of the Kingdom, reach more than 142 markets around the world due to the export of 1,400 various commodities."
    She indicated that "Jordanian industry exports were distributed to Iraq with a value of 246 million dinars, followed by the UAE with a value of 131 million dinars, then Switzerland came third with a value of 73 million dinars, Egypt with a value of 45 million dinars, and Saudi Arabia with a value of 41 million dinars."
    He explained that "the Chamber's exports during the 6 months of the current year 2023 were distributed among the mining, chemical, cosmetic, engineering, electrical and information technology sectors, in addition to the exports of the catering, food, agricultural, livestock and therapeutic industries, medical and leather supplies, and other industries."
    The Jordanian dinar is equivalent to about 70 US dollars.
    It is noteworthy that Iraq imports most goods and commodities from neighboring countries, especially Turkey and Iran, after Jordan was a major market for Iraq in the nineties of the last century during the period of economic blockade on Iraq.
