    Observers of the federal government's steps since the advent of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani in the context of combating corruption see that it has begun to gradually escalate to include all parts of the state and in the various governorates, ministries and departments to investigate officials who caused a waste of public money, some of whom belong to equally influential parties without discrimination.
    A few days ago, the Integrity Commission announced that it had taken measures against those involved in financial and administrative corruption cases in Anbar Governorate, as well as dismissals of a number of directors of departments taken by the government, which aroused the ire of some parties and politicians in the province, while they considered it targeting the province only.
    A member of the House of Representatives for Taqaddam Party, Muhammad al-Muhammadi, confirmed that Anbar is not the first to be corrupt, although it is not a virtuous city, but no province is devoid of corruption.
    Al-Muhammadi explained, in his statement to the "Al-Mutalaa" agency, that "what is happening in Anbar is targeting by the preparation of success, as the Progressive Party and its cadres were able to rebuild Anbar, whose budget allocations amounted to less than 6%, and despite that, life was restored to Anbar, which was destroyed before." Terrorism.
    Al-Muhammadi stressed in his statement, "Anbar, like other provinces, is not devoid of corruption, but it is not the first, as some are trying to promote."
    For his part, he held the leader of the State Administration Coalition, Muzahim Al-Hwit, Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and the leaders of the Taqaddam Party responsible for the rampant corruption in Anbar Governorate.
    Al-Hwit, in a statement to "Al-Mutala'" agency, demanded that Al-Halbousi be held accountable after the most prominent of his executive wings involved in corruption, the head of the Fund for the Reconstruction of Areas Affected by Terrorism, Muhammad Al-Hiti, was dismissed.
    Al-Hwit confirmed that "the end of al-Halbousi has come, and he must be tried and held accountable, and he is the most prominent supporter of those involved in corruption in the provinces of Nineveh and Anbar."
    Activists and bloggers say that some defenders of corruption in Anbar claim that the province is targeted alone by the procedures of the Integrity Commission, and this is an attempt to cover up their corruption, which has become widespread in all aspects of the province, stressing that the anti-corruption movements started from the south first and did not target Anbar only.
    A source in the Integrity Commission reviewed to Al-Mutala Agency the most important measures of the war against corruption, explaining that the first decisions of the new commission started from Basra, not Anbar, as they say, where the oil smuggling network in Basra and Maysan was dismantled, senior officials overthrown, and the former head of the Dhi Qar Investment Commission was arrested for harming him. With public money of more than one billion dinars, the ruling on the former Minister of Transport to severe imprisonment and the severe imprisonment of the former directors of municipalities and health of Babylon, and the seizure of embezzlement of 26 instruments worth 292 million dinars with real estate grants to the martyrs of Wasit, and the suspension of the disbursement of 60 billion dinars for one of the projects implemented in Karbala, and the arrest of the director of the Real Estate Bank in Diwaniyah for embezzling two billion Dinars, bringing in the general director of Maysan Education and other employees for appropriating more than 17 billion dinars, imprisoning an official in Samawah municipality on charges of inflated money and illegal gain, bringing in the former head of the Diwaniyah Governorate Council, and bringing in the former governors of Baghdad for harming public money.
    He also adds the issuance of an arrest and investigation order for the former Minister of Transport for committing a violation of his job duties, bringing in the former governor of Babylon and three officials in the province, bringing in the former governor of Babylon for violations in the case of allocating plots of land, bringing in the governor of Dhi Qar and a number of department directors in the province, and bringing in the withdrawn governor of Diwaniyah and the director of agriculture. In the governorate, the director of Diwaniyah health was summoned to accuse him of committing the crime of bribery, and the current director of the Execution Directorate of Baqubah was caught red-handed.
    In a related context, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Muhammad al-Dulaimi, confirmed that the oversight authorities are awaiting an amendment to the Integrity Commission Law, which gives them broader powers in the fight against corruption.
    Al-Dulaimi said in a statement to "Al-Mutala'" agency that "the Independent Integrity Commission and the Parliamentary Integrity Committee will carry out proactive operations against the corrupt and were able to access and uncover many corruption files that will be revealed in the coming days."
    Leaders in the Taqaddam party considered the war against corruption measures as a conspiracy targeting the party and its leader, Speaker of Parliament Muhammad al-Halbousi, which prompted the Anbar Clan Council of Elders to issue a statement warning of targeting the province, which had not been witnessed in other provinces hit by the fire of the war against corruption.
