The Federal Office of Financial Supervision prepared a five-year strategic plan to enhance integrity, transparency and accountability in the public sector, while revealing that nearly 2,000 reports had been submitted to the entities subject to investigation. government to reduce cases of fraud and financial and administrative corruption, pointing out that the plan was not limited to this aspect only, but rather sought to move forward with the international community, and support the United Nations plan 2020-2030, by monitoring the implementation of the sustainable development goals to ensure the management of financial resources on an equal footing. He added that the Bureau seeks to achieve two important goals over the coming years, the first is to enhance integrity, transparency and accountability in the public sector to support the government program, and the second goal is to support the United Nations plan and implement the sustainable development goals in light of the capabilities and resources available to achieve the best outputs in oversight work.He added that the number of reports issued by the Office of Financial Supervision during the past year amounted to two thousand and 903 reports, including reports on “financial statements, business results, performance evaluation, special tasks, and the investment budget” and submitted them to several bodies such as “the entity subject to investigation, the Integrity Commission, Council of Representatives”, and it is followed up by the Audit and Follow-up Department to review the observations contained in the reports and the extent to which the entities subject to auditing have fulfilled these observations.
