    Economic expert Bassem Jamil Antoine confirmed that Iraq needs to enter into partnerships with neighboring countries in particular and benefit from all the wide investment outlets, foremost of which is the development road project, expecting the establishment of 5 industrial cities along the line if the project is completed.
    Antoine said in a press interview seen by “Takadum” that “the development path project is a commercial line that extends from Al-Faw to Turkey and from there to Europe, and it is one of the giant projects that can bring great benefits to Iraq at nearly $ 5 billion annually.”
    He added, "The project works to employ approximately 150,000 skilled Iraqi workers," pointing out that it is "a real opportunity to create job opportunities and at the same time renaissance the desert region through the establishment of a regular road in addition to a railway to transport goods, money and passengers." And the establishment of real cities along this line.
    Antoine believes that “the road can revive the economy of industrial and agricultural cities, reduce poverty through achieving sustainable and industrial development, and create many major investments at the international level, such as the Arab Gulf, as well as with European countries and Spain, one of the countries that expressed its welcome to the project.”
    Antoine pointed out that “at the lowest level, there will be five economic cities across the line extending from Al-Faw to Turkey, Syria, and European countries, which is a revival of the line that was raised during the First World War, which shortened the distance between Germany and Iraq.”
