Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fouad Hussein, expressed, on Sunday, his country's desire to reopen its embassy in Sana'a after achieving security and stability in Yemen.
Hussein said in a joint press conference he held with his Yemeni counterpart, Ahmed bin Mubarak, who is visiting the capital, Baghdad, that the societal relations between Iraq and Yemen still exist and remain, and we now have a large Iraqi community in Yemen, adding: We hope that the situation in Yemen will stabilize so that the Iraqi embassy in Sana can return to serve the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

He added that Iraq hopes for the return of stability and security in Yemen, and supports calm and dialogue between all parties in it, stressing that there is a cease-fire and an undeclared armistice in Yemen, and we hope that it will turn into a political and dialogue situation between all Yemeni parties.
Hussein also indicated that Iraq is ready to contribute in this field, and we have good relations that we can harness in the service of stability and security in Yemen, and we can move regionally within this framework, and if there is a need, we are ready to be part of the solution.
The Iraqi Foreign Minister stressed the need to improve the humanitarian situation in Yemen and facilitate the entry of relief materials, expressing his support for all efforts in this field, and we support ending human suffering as a result of fighting and instability.
He noted that humanitarian aid is important to the Yemeni society, but as a result the conflicting parties have reached an economic solution that can serve the Yemeni society in particular, and currently the economic situation is at the service of fighting and war, and we hope that stability in Yemen will be achieved through dialogue.
He went on to say that Yemen could export oil and gas and return to the global market again.
Hussein stressed that the Iraqi government supports the Riyadh agreement concluded in 2019, and we welcome Saudi Arabia's efforts to bring the Yemeni parties to the dialogue table, and we look forward to an agreement to end the war in Yemen.
He stressed that it is necessary to find a solution to the Bahr Zafer war in Yemen, adding: We look forward to coordinating with the Yemeni government to send an Iraqi delegation, according to a proposal from one of the Iraqi security services, for the purpose of following up on the conditions of the Iraqi community there.
For his part, Yemeni Foreign Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak said during the conference that Iraq played a major positive role in the Yemeni issue and achieving the armistice, and in paving the way for the Saudi-Iranian agreement, expressing his regret that we did not witness a direct impact on the situation in Yemen of this agreement.
He stressed that there is a truce, and we are committed to it, and that it is time to end the war in Yemen, and we are ready to implement the peace agreement in the country.
He stressed that Yemen is suffering from an economic war due to the destruction of oil export ports, and there is difficulty in delivering relief aid to the country.
And the Yemeni minister expressed his welcome to any Iraqi consular delegation visiting his country, saying that he enjoys all the facilities from the Yemeni government, and we war with the Iraqi foreign minister to Sanaa and all the Arab ministers.
