The Ministry of Transport has received new offers from major Chinese companies to participate in the implementation of the development road project, while working to coordinate with the governorates through which the road passes to remove and address conflicts along its length.
The ministry's media director, Maytham Al-Safi, said in a statement to "Al-Sabah": that Chinese companies have always been present in important projects in the country, and many major Chinese companies made presentations of the work done by them, and these companies expressed their desire to participate in the development path that will link East with West, pointing out The presence of these companies, especially the major government companies, reflects the desire of the Chinese state to actively participate in the implementation and operation of this giant project that will liberate the Iraqi economy from the dependence of rentier revenue from the sale of crude oil.
He added that there is a presence of many major international companies that have expressed their desire and interest to participate in the implementation of the development path, and this presence indicates the importance of this project and the rush of international companies to find a foothold in this global achievement, indicating that the ministry continues to organize fruitful meetings with international companies to initiate By working in the implementation of the strategic development road project, the last of which was with the commercial advisor at the Chinese embassy in Iraq (Xu Zhong) to discuss the plans of the new development road project, and the possibility of the contribution of discreet Chinese companies to work in it.
And he indicated that the Ministry is working to provide the most important basic ingredients, means and preparations related to the implementation of this vital project, as it has started organizing field visits to the governorates through which the project passes, and coordination with local governments to develop a road map in front of the paths and conflicts along this project, whose economic feasibility study has been completed and is in the process of preparing and completing it. Designs to start working on.
The Ministry of Transport had received initial offers during the past months from international and Arab companies, including Chinese companies, to participate in the implementation of the Development Road project and related projects.
