Today, Saturday, Baghdad Governorate set the ampere price for private and governmental generators for the month of September.
And a statement by the governorate, which was received by Al-Iqtisad News, stated that “it was decided that the ampere price for the current (ninth) month of September, for private and governmental generators, will be according to the following: The price for (normal) operation from 12 noon until 1 o’clock at night
is (6,000) dinars, and alternately with As for the price of night operation from 12 noon until 6 am, at (8,000) dinars, alternating with the national electricity
. Pointing out that "the official of the administrative unit has the authority to set the price of the ampere (reducing the price only), in line with the supply of electric power to their regions."
The statement called for "compliance with all the instructions and recommendations issued by the Baghdad governorate regarding follow-up, supervision, and taking legal measures against violators, and working to activate what was stated in the previous recommendations, instructions, and directives, directly by the head of the administrative unit."
He emphasized "coordinating efforts between all concerned parties and standing against anyone who tries to exploit the citizen's need and coordinating administrative units with the security forces to follow up on the commitment of generator owners and holding violators accountable."
