Today, Sunday, Minister of Health Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi stressed the importance of inspection visits to health institutions, while noting that lagging hospital projects are witnessing an increase in the pace of work and completion.
The Ministry stated in a statement received by Al-Aqsad News that “Minister of Health Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi chaired the weekly meeting of the Ministry’s center departments today to discuss a number of topics on the agenda related to developing the health situation,” indicating that “the Minister was briefed during the meeting on the work plan and the epidemiological situation.” For cholera and hemorrhagic fever infections, the stages of treatment of infected people, the procedures taken by health departments, and coordination with the concerned authorities.”
During the meeting, Al-Hasnawi confirmed that “the implementation of the government program is going according to what was planned,” stressing “the continuation of the pace of work to ensure the provision of the best health service and the development of the reality of institutions according to what is planned in the government program.”
He pointed out that "lagging hospital projects are witnessing an increase in the pace of work and completion as they are brought into service one after another, in addition to continuing to reconstruct and rehabilitate existing hospitals," noting "the necessity of continuing to provide medicines and medical supplies and following up on the needs of health institutions."
He stressed "the importance of inspection visits to health institutions, following up on the work and needs of staff in the institutions, drug control, and holding violators accountable."
