On Wednesday, residents of Al-Saqalaiya district in Anbar Governorate called on the Integrity Commission to open corruption files on a prominent leader of the Taqadum Party who converted the ownership of agricultural lands into investment properties to obtain huge sums of money under political cover.

Sheikh Abdul-Sattar al-Dulaimi said in a statement to the Maalouma Agency, “The residents of the Saqlawiyah district, north of the city of Fallujah, demanded that the integrity department open an expanded investigation into the leadership of the district director of the Taqadum Party, Saad Ghazi al-Muhammadi, against the backdrop of his ratification of the minutes of transfer of ownership of agricultural lands and referring them to investment in a manner Illegal for financial gain.”
Al-Dulaimi added, "Converting large areas of agricultural land into investment projects contributed to targeting the food basket and the migration of farmers."
He stated, "The Saqlawiyah district was considered the predecessor of Anbar's food basket because it was characterized by the presence of large areas of agricultural land containing crops of different types."
Al-Dulaimi continued, “The collapse of the agricultural reality in that region resulted from Al-Muhammadi, in coordination with the district departments, converting agricultural lands into investment and assigning them to the leaders of the ruling party.”
It is noteworthy that an Anbari official had previously confirmed the collapse of the agricultural reality for reasons that have become known to everyone. End / 12a
