Today, Thursday (October 12, 2023), the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, revealed the formation of a committee responsible for receiving citizen donations to relieve civilians in the Gaza Strip.
Rasoul said in statements followed by “Baghdad Today” that “the Prime Minister directed the formation of a committee to receive donations for the relief of civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip,” noting that “the office for receiving donations and aid to the Palestinian people will be at the headquarters of the Air Defense Command in Baghdad near Abbas Ibn Firnas Square.” ".
He explained, "The Prime Minister directed the committee to begin its work immediately and present its results successively to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces."
Al-Sudani had directed to send humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is besieged by the Israeli occupation forces, in coordination with the Egyptian authorities for the purpose of delivering aid that includes medical and treatment supplies, and urgent humanitarian needs for the brotherly Palestinian people.
