The Director General of the General Company for Iraqi Ports, Farhan Al-Fartusi, confirmed that the completion rates in the road project linking the Grand Port of Al-Faw and Umm Qasr reached (52%).
Al-Fartusi said in a statement received by Mawazine News, “The road project linking the Grand Port of Al-Faw and Umm Qasr achieves advanced completion rates compared to what was planned within the project’s timelines.”
He explained that "the completion rates reached (52%), as the work is proceeding at an accelerated pace, with a focus on international specifications for implementing such important roads."
He continued, "The road, which is 62 kilometers long, is currently witnessing work on laying the pre-asphalt concrete layer."
