The Geologists Syndicate, in cooperation with the Geological Survey of the Ministry of Industry, organized an extensive discussion session on the importance of investment in the mining sector and the violations that affect the Mineral Investment Regulation Law No.
(91) of 1988.
On the sidelines of the episode, Deputy Head of the Geologists Syndicate, Madiha Muhammad Shaker, told Al-Sabah: The geologist is responsible for mineral wealth and how to explore, preserve and invest it in a way that achieves the public interest.
She added that mineral wealth must be subject to Investment Law No. (91) of 1988, but this law faces many problems that prevent its proper implementation, so this discussion panel came to shed light on the amendments that must be approved by the law, and to solve the problems that obstruct it.
