Today, Tuesday (November 7, 2023), Assistant General Manager of the Southern Refineries Company, Ibrahim Abdel Zahra, revealed the details of the work of the FCC project , which is considered one of the largest refinery projects in Basra Governorate.
Abdul Zahra said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “the project is one of the most important projects of the Ministry of Oil and aims to produce improved gasoline at an amount of 4 and a half thousand cubic meters per day, in addition to other products such as hydrogenated gas oil in which the percentage of sulfur content is low.” In addition to the production of liquid gas amounting to 350 tons, in addition to improved fuel oil that is used in power stations.
He continued, “We hope that at the end of 2025, with the existence of this project, as well as the Karbala refinery project, we will end the issue of importing improved fuel and other products from abroad.”
