[size=45]Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said today (Thursday) that the army is taking “specific and precise measures” in Gaza to enable Palestinian refugees to flee fighting with Hamas, in an apparent reference to a four-hour truce announced by Washington.
Yoav Galant said when a journalist asked him about the American announcement, which he did not address directly, “These things do not detract from war fighting,” according to Reuters.
He added that the war will continue until Hamas is overthrown and the hostages held in Gaza are released[/size]
[size=45]Gallant confirmed that Israel is using new methods in operations to discover and destroy Gaza tunnels.[/size]
[size=45]The Israeli Defense Minister indicated, during a press conference, with pictures of children displayed on a screen next to him, that he considers the child hostages his children, and will not stop the fighting in Gaza until they return.[/size]
[size=45]The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, broadcast a video clip of an Israeli boy named Yigil Yaakov, addressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and telling him that the bombing of the Gaza Strip is causing the death of Israeli prisoners, and that cutting off water, electricity, and medicine from the Strip is affecting... [size=45]The spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced that 60 detainees held by his movement had died as a result of the Israeli bombing, noting that the bodies of some of them were still under the rubble, and it was impossible to withdraw them due to the continuous bombing.[/size]
