Centre for the Iraqi media network (IMN)-airlines, operated the first
flight to Saudi Arabia for Umrah after the aircraft, confirming their
agreement with the Saudi side to operate three daily flights.
And
Associate General Manager of the company said Majeed Al Amri (IMN) that
"Iraqi Airways began at 3 a.m. Thursday, the first trip by Iraqi
Airways to Saudi Arabia to transport pilgrims."
Ameri explained
that "the number of flights at present that agree with the Saudi side to
run the three daily flights, and likely to increase the number of
flights in the next few days after approval of Saudi authorities."
The
Transport Ministry in last September a plan described as "ambitious" to
establish a new airline with advanced services, the launch of the plan
depends on the recent agreement Kuwait authentication to resolve
differences over the Airways.
Iraq had signed last month signed a new Kuwait to Baghdad to pay $ 500 million in two installments for Kuwait on Iraqi Airways.
