The Rafidain Bank decided, today, Sunday, to extinguish the debts of the two segments of the martyrs and the wounded.
The bank said in a statement received by Mawazine News: “In rejoicing on the day of the great victory over the terrorist ISIS gangs, and in fulfillment of the sacrifices made by the martyrs and the epics they wrote of courage and fathers in defense of the land, honor and sanctities, and in gratitude for the sacrifices of the wounded on the battlefield and positions of honor and glory, and based on Under the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, the bank’s board of directors decided to proceed with debt extinguishment procedures for the two segments of the martyrs and the wounded.
He added, "This came in accordance with the proportions and mechanism contained in the articles of Law No. 81 of 2017 and the relevant decisions and directing the concerned departments to address the Martyrs Foundation to provide it with the names and lists of those included in extinguishing the debts and to begin implementing the decision and in accordance with the administrative and financial powers established by the laws."
