On Wednesday, Minister of Labor Ahmed Al-Asadi directed that the poorest families in Balad district be included in the social protection network.
The Ministry of Labor said in a statement, seen by Al-Iqtisad News, that Al-Asadi “conducted a visit to the social protection departments for men and women in Balad district in Salah al-Din Governorate, and was informed of the progress of work in the departments, and directed that the poorest families be included.”
The Minister of Labor stressed “reducing the episodes of red tape and providing the best services to these vulnerable families in society,” and he met with “the staff in the departments and listened to their demands and the work obstacles they face.”
Al-Asadi ordered “the departments concerned to provide assistance and logistical support to improve the status of these departments due to the services they provide and the efforts made to serve the benefit of the citizens,” noting “an increase in the rates of inclusion in the governorate in support of the great sacrifices made by its people.”
Earlier, Minister of Labor Ahmed Al-Asadi confirmed the inclusion of more than 900,000 families in the social protection network and the addition of new features for those included.
