Al-Nahrain Islamic Bank, affiliated with the Ministry of Finance, announced on Wednesday the issuance of instructions to finance projects for people in health professions as part of the package of banking facilities it provides to support job opportunities in the health sector.
The bank stated, in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the instructions included that the age of the financing applicant must not be less than (18 years) for those not appointed in the departments of the Ministry of Health, and if the financing applicant is an employee and is still continuing in service, the guarantee will be his monthly salary up to (15) (One million dinars. If it exceeds that, a guarantor is provided. If he is not an employee, a guarantor is provided. The repayment period for the financing applicant and his guarantor must be commensurate with the age of retirement.)
He added, "The applicant for financing must provide one or more guarantors from employees of state departments, provided that half of the net salary is equivalent to twice the monthly installment or more, and the first installment is due after (30 days) from the date of receiving the financing amount."
The bank specified the categories included in the financing, including “employees of state departments appointed in the Ministry of Health and its departments, clients with health professions who are licensed to practice work from a specialized authority, and also employees who work in the field of national health whose salaries are with the bank, as well as graduates who hold an identity card with a medical specialty and other.” Appointed or approved for professional certification.
He stated, “The applicant for funding must submit an application attached to a summary of the project indicating its type (medical clinic, dental clinic, laboratory, physical therapy clinic, radiology and ultrasound clinic, nurse, etc.), along with a description of the equipment and materials to be purchased, specifying the type, quantity, specifications, and prices, and representing an offer.” Firstly, the total amount of financing required, stamped with the seal of one of the specialized companies that provides the required supplies.
He noted, “Those who wish to apply and who meet the conditions referred to can visit one of the bank’s branches in Baghdad and the governorates in order to learn about the application mechanism and answer inquiries regarding Murabaha.”
