The Iraqi Federation of Industries announced on Wednesday that there is a desire by Saudi Arabia to establish a commercial market to display Iraqi local products in the Kingdom.
The Federation said in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, that “in order to strengthen economic and trade relations between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Commercial Attaché in Riyadh expressed its desire to establish a commercial market to display Iraqi products in the Kingdom.”
The statement called on Iraqi industrialists who wish to export to provide the union with a list that includes the types and models of agricultural and industrial goods to display and promote in the Kingdom.
The Federation did not indicate in its statement the date of holding this market.
The volume of trade exchange between Iraq and Saudi Arabia has reached approximately one billion dollars annually during the past six years, according to statistics issued by Riyadh.
