    The Ministerial Council for Economy approved, on Monday, during the eighth session of 2024, a set of decisions, including the formation of a committee to present an integrated package to regulate trade and imports in Iraq, develop the agricultural sector and revive palm cultivation.[/size]
    [size=45]The media office of the Ministerial Council for the Economy said in a statement, “The Council discussed the items on its agenda and took the necessary decisions regarding them, and decided to form a committee to present the integrated package to regulate trade and import in Iraq, which includes the economic advisor to the Prime Minister and representatives of the Ministry of Commerce, the Central Bank of Iraq, customs, taxes, and relevant authorities.” “.[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, “In order to develop the agricultural sector and to revive palm cultivation in Iraq, the Council decided to amend the import and export instructions so that the import license is valid for two years from the date of granting the license instead of one year, especially for textile palm seedlings.”[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out that “in order to support the Iraqi missions operating abroad, the Council decided to allow the import of a personal wheel for workers in our diplomatic missions only three times throughout the period of his service and to recommend to the Council of Ministers to exempt it from customs duties,” indicating that “in order to support the private industrial sector, the Council decided Recommending to the Council of Ministers to unify the percentage of reducing prices of naphtha, natural gasoline and condensate products for all sectors to be 50% less than the global bulletin.[/size]
