Babylon completes the requirements for establishing the largest industrial city in the Middle East

Babylon Governorate plans to implement the largest industrial city in the Middle East after completing the requirements for declaring it as an investment opportunity, while pledging to overcome all obstacles facing investment projects.
The Governor of Babylon, Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi, told Al-Sabah: Babylon has great qualifications in terms of its geographical location and the presence of the ancient city of Babylon, which has not been exploited in the correct way over the past years. That is why we have begun working with our government team and the provincial council to facilitate the obstacles facing investors to establish their projects.
He added that the governorate administration is now focusing on industrial, agricultural and tourism projects, calling on investors who are able to build strategic projects and wish to establish them in the city of Babylon to visit the governorate, where we will overcome all the difficulties they face and provide a safe environment. He pointed out that there is a program to build the largest industrial city in the Middle East, as we have completed the requirements for declaring it as a major investment opportunity that will provide thousands of job opportunities for the people of the governorate and the rest of the governorates, especially since the Prime Minister pledged to fulfill many of the demands related to Babylon. Al-Dulaimi explained that the government is serious about paying attention to service projects and infrastructure, and there is integration in work with the legislative and executive authorities in Babylon, which reflects positively on the implementation of projects, especially since the governorate has declined greatly and is almost the worst in terms of services due to the failure to invest financial resources properly during the past years.
He stated that the governorate administration will follow up, through field tours, all investment and government projects, and obstacles will be overcome, while appropriate solutions will be put in place to activate the lagging projects and return them to work soon.
He continued that more than 10 conversion stations will be put into service during the coming months, and that electricity this summer will be much better than the previous one, as we have more than one investment project to produce electricity through “solar energy, and we will provide land to produce 30 megawatts, especially for Babil Governorate, and the production will be local.” .
