Najaf (IraqiNews.com) -The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, released a new initiative of Najaf, Scientific Capital of Iraq.
Hakim said in his speech on occasion of announcing the Citizen Coalition in Najaf “The initiative includes allocating annual budget for Najaf as being Iraq’s Scientific Capital at about $ 500 million per year along with its origin budget as well as establishing supreme council represented by Najaf Provincial Council, local government and the religious, academic and scientific figures to run this project.”
“The initiative also involves establishing Imam Ali City which contains research centers specialized in scientific and academic fields,” he added.
