Clinton supporter Mark Cuban meets quietly with controversial Trump strategist Steve Bannon

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, a billionaire supporter of former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, met quietly with Steve Bannon, President-elect Donald Trump’s controversial chief strategist, on Tuesday, according to a new report.
TMZ tracked down the two men, who were meeting at the King Cole Bar in New York City’s St. Regis hotel. The gossip site noted the men have conducted business together in the past but speculated that this meeting must have been about politics.
Throughout the presidential campaign, Cuban frequently dissed Trump, calling the billionaire businessman “clueless” and “ignorant,” even saying he would “rather lose every penny than have Trump as president.” But he doesn’t seem to have an issue with Bannon, a former executive at Breitbart News who has been accused of being racist, sexist and anti-Semitic.
In August, Cuban described Bannon, who worked as Trump’s campaign CEO during the election, as “smart.”
It is worth noting that, prior to backing Clinton, Cuban expressed interest in seeing an outsider like Trump run for political office, and he has since called on voters to give the president-elect a chance.
A St. Regis employee who was there when Bannon and Cuban met was asked about the meeting by the New York Daily News but offered “no comment” about the sit-down.
As for the charges against Bannon, Trump defended the former Breitbart chairman Tuesday, telling the New York Times he would have never hired him “if I thought he was racist or alt-right.”
