Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health clarified the localization of the pharmaceutical industry, while noting that this project contributed to the development of existing factories and the creation of new ones.
Ministry spokesman Saif Al-Badr said, “National industry in general and anywhere in the world contributes to encouraging the labor force within the country, and thus the localization of the pharmaceutical industry pursued by the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Health as the basis of its program in the health sector contributed to the development of existing factories and the creation of new ones, and we announced This was discussed in some detail in the recent conference on the achievements of 200 days.”
He added, "The amounts invested in the resettlement project inside the country were in Iraqi dinars and were not converted into hard currency," noting that "medicines and medical supplies were purchased from Iraqi government and private factories inside the country."
Al-Badr stated, "The localization of the pharmaceutical industry contributed to employing the workforce and developing the supply chain, as the factory includes workers, suppliers, and senders of manufactured goods and other details," pointing out, "The Iraqi government continues to adhere to this approved policy."
He stressed, "There will also be important openings of projects related to the localization of the pharmaceutical industry during the remainder of this year and the beginning of next year as well, in addition to the development of government factories and private sector factories located inside Iraq."
