The Parliamentary Economy, Industry and Trade Committee revealed that the accumulation of the deficit ratio, projects and cash flow are reasons that led to the delay in sending the budget from the government to the House of Representatives.
The deputy head of the committee, Yasser Al-Husseini, told “Al-Sabah”: The budget is in the corridors of the government and its schedules are still being prepared in the Ministry of Finance and have not yet been voted on in the Council of Ministers and then sent to the House of Representatives for the purpose of reviewing, studying and approving it, expressing his hope that it will not Its delay is long because the service reality requires speed. Al-Husseini added that the House of Representatives approved a tripartite budget so that at the beginning of each year there will be a budget ready and prepared for implementation and to shorten the time, as we are about to enter the fifth month of the current year, indicating that if Parliament goes into legislative recess, then there is a problem and we demand that the government quickly send the budget schedules to the House of Representatives.
