, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Alia Nassif, called on the Iraqi political forces to stop stealing the country’s wealth and work to develop and build it.
Nassif said, in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, that “honorable Iraqi politicians must look at the investment companies that most neighboring countries and countries in the region contract with and advance Iraq’s economic, living and service situation.”
She added, "The investment companies that operate inside Iraq are formal companies controlled by the political forces as a tool, pointing out that the political forces must be content with stealing Iraq's wealth from 2003 until now and work to build the nation."
She pointed out that "the minister who assumes his position is a 'reward' for the interests of the party that owns the ministry, stressing that it is impossible for the minister to work for the interests of the nation and leave the interests of the party that handed him the ministerial portfolio."
