Armed tribal conflict north of Basra cuts Baghdad's main road
BASRA, Iraq, June 3 (UPI) - An armed tribal conflict erupted in the northern Iraqi city of Basra on Saturday, security sources said.
"A tribal conflict broke out between two tribes in the Haritha area north of Basra," the source told an Iraqi news agency. "Light and medium weapons were used, causing the Basra-Baghdad road to be cut off."
"The local police forces have mobilized their forces in the hare to control the situation and resolve the conflict," the source said. Finished
