Israel responds to Erdogan: The era of the Ottoman Empire is over

The Israeli Foreign Ministry responded to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statements, saying that Israel is trying to take the maximum of Muslims.
Israel's Foreign Ministry said in a statement posted on its official websites that Erdogan's comments were "baseless and distorted."
"The era of the Ottoman Empire was gone, and Jerusalem (Jerusalem) was and will remain the capital of the Jewish people."
In a letter to Erdogan, the Israeli foreign ministry statement said that "it should focus its attention on the problems and difficulties facing its state."
"Whoever had a glass house would be better off throwing stones," she said.
"In contrast to what was in the past, this city is run by a government committed to freedom, security, freedom of religious worship and respect for the rights of all minorities," the statement said.
"What Israel is doing now is an attempt to take the Aqsa Mosque from the hands of Muslims, and it is never acceptable to deal with Muslims who are going to perform their worship at Al Aqsa Mosque as terrorists," Erdogan said.
He added: "If the Israeli soldiers today blatantly denounce the courtyard of Al Aqsa Mosque with their shoes, and shed the blood of Muslims, citing simple incidents, the reason for this is not to support us to the extreme enough.
