Justice announces the release of 765 inmates during July

The Iraqi Reform Department of the Ministry of Justice announced the release of more than 700 inmates during the month of July within the mechanism to speed up the release of expired sentences.
"The number of released from ministry prisons during the last month was 765 prisoners from the ministry's prisons in Baghdad and the provinces, including 62 women and 703 men," the ministry said in a statement.
He stressed that "the reform department has made great strides in the area of release operations with the implementation of the electronic supervision system, which allows the possibility of determining the termination of their judicial rulings of the inmates and contribute to the resolution of their files in accordance with the legal period set for release."
