Shafaq News / Head of Ahrar Parliamentary Bloc , Bahaa al-Araji announced on Tuesday, issuing an Iraqi judicial warrant in accordance with Article IV of terrorism against the MP from “Motahedoun bloc “, Ahmed al-Alwani.
“A judicial lawsuit has been raised against, Ahmed al-Alwani due to his sectarianism,” Araji said in a statement received by “Shafaq News”.
“The Iraqi judiciary issued an arrest warrant against, Ahmed al-Alwani according to Article 4 of terrorism for inciting sectarian strife”.
Araji issued last Monday, a letter to prosecutors demanding to investigate with MP, Ahmed al-Alwani regarding recent statements that were considered as incitement to sectarian fighting.
The MP of Motahedoun bloc, Ahmed al-Alwani has talked earlier in front of Ramadi protests about "the existence of an Iranian scheme to blow up Sayeda Zeinab shrine in Syria" with the start of U.S. bombing, accompanied by the sectarianism repercussions in Iraq.
However, Alwani said in a statement for "Shafaq News", that “what he has talked about is certain information, and that he did not incite for fighting with Shiites”.
The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Osama al-Nujaifi said that he will open an investigation on the video of MP, Alwani stressing that he would take action if proven on his incitement to kill a particular Iraqi component.
