Events of the East Economic Forum in Russia

    25/08/2017

The city of Vladivostok in the Russian Far East will be held on September 6 and 7 in the "East Economic Forum" with the participation of a group of politicians and economists from around the world.

The forum, which will be held annually, will bring together about 3,500 participants from 50 countries. Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to address the forum, and will include Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Mon Zekyong.

Due to the geographical location of Vladivostok, the forum will see a wide participation from Japan, China and South Korea. Countries are showing great interest in the Russian East.

The economic forum will include four main themes. The first will discuss the economic policy in the Far East and the Russian government's strategy for its development. The second axis will highlight Russia's cooperation with its neighbors and ways of developing it.

While the third axis will explore investment opportunities in the Russian East, will explain how to do business in the region, and in the fourth axis will review the challenges facing the Russian Far East and ways to address them.

In addition, five business dialogue sessions will be held on the sidelines of the forum: Russia-China, Russia-India, Russia-South Korea, Russia-Japan, Russia-ASEAN, East Asia)".

It will also highlight the customs and tax facilities granted by the Russian government to encourage investments in the Far East, especially those related to the free port project in Vladivostok.
