    Qatar has complained to UN Secretary-General Antonio Gutierrez and UN Security Council President Leo Jay on Friday that a UAE military transport plane had broken into its airspace earlier this month, warning of an Emirati plan to launch air strikes against targets inside Territory.

    This follows the announcement of the Doha Declaration on Thursday, the violation of the United Arab Emirates airspace on 21 December last, an accusation denied by the UAE earlier in the day.

    In the complaint announced today, Qatar's permanent representative to the United Nations, Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, said that her country had submitted identical letters to Guterich and Liu on January 5, (DHC-6) entered the airspace of the State of Qatar at 10:10 am on 3 January 2018 by flying over the Qatar Special Economic Zone without the prior authorization of the competent Qatari authorities.
