[ltr]The search for a ferry carrying 50 people, lost more than a week ago near Kiribati, a state of a group of coral islands in the center of the Pacific Ocean, continues on Saturday.[/ltr]
[ltr]New Zealand bailout officials reported that the ferry ferry "Mv Buterawi", which travels between the islands, was announced late on Friday.[/ltr]
[ltr]"We know the boat underwent repairs before it started," said the New Zealand Rescue Coordination Center. "This may have contributed to the boat's sailing problems," he said. "The weather in this part of the Pacific Ocean is currently mild with some fluctuation."[/ltr]
[ltr]The 17.5-meter-long ferry sailed from Nunuti Island on 18 January towards Baito Tarawa, a Kiribati island.[/ltr]
[ltr]The flight, which has a range of 260 kilometers, was expected to last two days.[/ltr]
[ltr]The New Zealand authorities assigned an Air Force Orion aircraft to survey the maritime route that the ferry was scheduled to take.[/ltr]
