    "The Saudi war in Yemen has failed and Riyadh has sunk into the Yemeni quagmire," Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif said. "The Saudi regime is involved in war crimes in Yemen."

    Zarif warned in a statement on arrival in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia that "the recent Security Council discussions have lost credibility and turned its role from a body responsible for international peace and security to a body to support child killers," according to Tasnim.

    Zarif described what happened during the Security Council session on Yemen as a "disgusting and offensive spectacle to support aggression that damaged the reputation of the Council and its role and added a very bad precedent to its record and is regrettable." "We are about to enter the fourth year of the aggression of the Saudi regime against the defenseless people of Yemen," he said, stressing that the only solution in Yemen is "through political means."

    The Iranian Foreign Minister pointed out that Iran has presented an initiative to resolve the Yemeni crisis consisting of four items after the start of the Saudi aggression on Yemen, including an immediate cease-fire, the dispatch of humanitarian aid, Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue and the formation of a comprehensive government capable of establishing good relations with neighboring countries.

    "This initiative was put forward three years ago, and now that thousands of innocent people have been killed and a million people are likely to suffer cholera and the human tragedy created by Saudi Arabia and its allies, there is no other solution than the political solution proposed by Iran.
