A parliamentary source revealed on Tuesday that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi opened an investigation into the development contracts of the provinces in the province of Nineveh for political demarcation and the achievement of electoral gains for some of its candidates, stressing that one of the close to him is behind the investigation of the contracts of the province.

He added that "MP Mohammed al-Abed Rabbo, one of the candidates of the alliance of victory, is behind the investigation of the subject of contracts for the development of regions," noting that "the investigation of this subject does not mean the start of Abbadi Mahkhar corruption, but the fulfillment of the wishes of their candidates and support."
The source said that "the MP mentioned the law of the return of the dismissed police in Nineveh, after the introduction of MP Abdul Rahim Al-Shammari and adopted by Abed Rabbo, who obtained the consent of Abbadi to return them to service, while the parliament is the voice of the law mentioned," stressing that " Abadi seeks to expand the popular base of Abd Rabbo and ensure that he gets the votes in the elections to be held next May. "
