A Russian newspaper confirmed that Vladimir Putin has pledged to meet the demands of the United States and Israel, and that they want the withdrawal of Iran and its militias from southern Syria.
According to a report published by the newspaper "Svabodnaya Prasa" Russian, it is possible that the leadership of Russia and the United States of America, an agreement on the withdrawal of Iranian militias from Syria during the meeting expected between them.
The report said that the White House will try to impose a political settlement in Syria, after pressure on Russia through terms to be offered in return for Russian accession to the Group of Seven industrialized countries in the world, and thus will be the meeting of Putin and Trump on the fragmentation of Syria and the introduction of US agents to the Syrian leadership.
The newspaper said that it is possible that the Kremlin will agree with the Syrian regime on the need for the withdrawal of Iranian militias from southern Syria, in return for the withdrawal of the US military base, and accordingly the regime will negotiate with the Iranians to withdraw from the areas adjacent to the Golan Heights on the Israeli border.
Russian President Dmitry Peskov has denied reports that Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump have agreed to withdraw their militia from Syria during a summit in Helsinki, Finland, on December 16.
